My name is Ahmed Eid, I am a content creator that specializes in video. I am passionate about storytelling and video production, with a keen interest in social justice issues related to the Muslim community. On this site you will find some of my short documentaries and video series about Muslims in the United States.

I am applying for the Pillars Fund Video Editor position.

Here is a video that I made last night about the Pillars fund. This video went from idea to completion in 3.5 hours.

I used FCPX but also work with Adobe Premier as well.

I am a solo producer / writer / shooter / cinematographer / editor, this job posting interested me because I would love to work with like minded people to create something truly amazing together. I have been following Pillars Fund for a while now, and I see an amazing opportunity to create original content that shapes discussions about Muslims online. I actually worked with many of the organizations that the Pillars fund funded, including Muslim Wellness Foundation and MPower Change.

One project that I created in conjunction with the Muslim Wellness Foundation (another organization Pillars fund funded!) would like to highlight is #blackMuslimsSpeak: a video series where I talked to 10 Black Muslims about their experience being Black and Muslim. The videos were shared on social media and created a good discussion online. Here is a link to the series:

I have a strong understanding of social media and generally tailor each exported video to the platform it will be consumed on. I currently work in New York City, and an initial commitment of 20 hours per week with working from home ability sounds perfect for me.

I look forward to hearing from you, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thank you!
